NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 6 – Ten Kenyan football fans will have the life-time experience to visit the Emirates Stadium, home to English Premier League side, Arsenal and watch a game before the end of the year courtesy of betting firm SportPesa.

The winners of the ‘Road to Emirates’ competition that has been running in September will get a chance to tour the Emirates Stadium, watch a live Arsenal game and tour London.

“We are happy to reward our fans. This is only the beginning. Many Kenyans took part in this competition and therefore we plan on having another one very soon,” SportPesa Chief Executive Officer Ronald Karauri said.

This is one of the benefits Kenyans are enjoying through extension of the partnership between the English Premier League giants and SportPesa after the deal saw the sports betting company become the official betting partner of Arsenal in Africa.

The 10 fans, including an education officer, a businessman, a security officer and a teacher among others, are delighted after becoming the lucky winners.

“I am very excited to have emerged as one of the winners. This will be my first time to travel to London and to watch an Arsenal game live. I can’t thank SportPesa and Arsenal enough for this grand opportunity,” said an excited Robert Chepkon, a Kericho resident who works as a security cadre in a local high school.

Following the partnership, Arsenal fans in Kenya will also be offered a range of club-related benefits, including official merchandise and match tickets to see the team in action at Emirates Stadium.

SportPesa will also engage directly with Arsenal’s African supporters through the club’s digital channels and marketing initiatives featuring first-team players and club legends.

The deal is also geared towards nurturing grassroots football and supporting SportPesa’s existing sponsorship of the Kenya Premier League in Kenya.

To win a trip to London for the Arsenal game, fans were required to send an SMS with the word ARSENAL to 79079 and place bets on their favourite teams.
