NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 2 – Sofapaka picked up a thumping 3-0 victory against KCB, as Batoto ba Mungu earned their second win of the FKF Premier League season, Ezekiel Akwana continuing the job of improving the 2009 champions.

Akwana was brought in to the team as an assistant coach, but was elevated to be the boss after Burundian Francis Harigingo was fired following a disastrous start to the season.

The former skipper led the team to their first victory, a 1-0 win over Kenya Police FC, but stumbled over the weekend losing by the same margin to Tusker FC.

However against KCB, they showed their menacing side as they scored three unanswered goals to move out of the bottom two for the first time this season.

Khaleed Jumaan gave them a 12th minute lead, one they kept till halftime before Abdul Razak Fiston netted his first goal of the season in the second half and Amos Asembeka wrapped up the win in the 64th minute.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Bandari edged out Police FC 3-2 in a dramatic duel in Mombasa, with three goals scored in three added minutes.

Police had rallied to equalize with an 87th minute goal after Bandari had led for most of the game throgh Derrick Nsibambi. However, the dockers scored in the 94th minute through Shassir Nahimana before Police equalized again a minute later.

However, it was Bandari who had the last laugh with a 97th minute winner from Beja Nyamawi.
